TO BE A SPORTS LEADER ?
In Year 10 at Aireville School you have the opportunity to become a sports leader and gain your Level 1 Sports leaders UK Qualification, or your Level 1 Dance Leaders UK Qualification.
The Level 1 Award in Sports Leadership is a nationally recognised qualification that enables successful candidates to lead small groups in simple sport and recreational activities whilst under the direct supervision of their tutor.
Sports Leaders UK qualifications use the medium of sport to help people to learn to lead. Aireville pupils learn the essential skills of leadership: communication, organisation and motivation, but in addition to this they grow in confidence and self belief. The personal journeys that people undertake whilst learning to lead, stand them in good stead for their future careers and life itself.
The opportunities our Level 1 Sports Leaders have include:
Helping to run events for the local community:
Partnership x-country event,
Skipton Swimming Gala,
Year 5 Fitness Challenge,
Primary Dance Festival,
Year 2 Boccia Tournament,
Skiptons Primary Rounders Festival,
Primary Orienteering event.
